The North-West season got off to a good start on Sunday 18th February. It was a dry and mild day but cloudy. There were 46 runners which was a good percentage of those entered. Current National Leading man (and 2017 N/W Leading Man) Alex Edwards rode a treble (Barel Of Laughs, Control Me and Following Mama). Current National Leading Trainer Philip Rowley added one to his total (Barel Of Laughs).
