]]> (Sweet Photography) https://www.sweetphotography.com/blog/2018/8/2017-photographs-now-on Mon, 20 Aug 2018 16:17:17 GMT AHS Centenary Show https://www.sweetphotography.com/blog/2018/8/ahs-centenary-show What a privilege it was to once again be one of the official show photographers for the National Championship Show in its Centenary year.  The exhibiters didn't disappoint and we shared many laughs, tears of joy and special moments in the ring as we captured as many people's experiences as possible.  The weather was kind (if a little hot!) until the usual downpours during the final championships.  We did our best to keep going and can edit some raindrops out of photographs if required! It was great to catch up with friends and meet new friends during the course of the show - thanks to those who encouraged us to keep going when the weather made life as photographers challenging! Marilyn gained a respectable 3rd place aboard the fabulous Calimeer (thanks to Karen Mustey for loaning 'Bubs' and all those who lent show gear!) in the Golden Oldies! There were over 14,000 images taken at the show - please visit out 'Galleries' section to view and enjoy reliving the experience. Looking forward to the remaining Arabian shows in 2018 and thank you for your continued support!

It was a dry and mild day but cloudy. There were 46 runners which was a good percentage of those entered. Current National Leading man (and 2017 N/W Leading Man) Alex Edwards rode a treble (Barel Of Laughs, Control Me and Following Mama). Current National Leading Trainer Philip Rowley added one to his total (Barel Of Laughs).
